My name is Preeti and my personal experiences as a consumer, led me to creating this business.
"LUX" is latin for light and it seemed like the perfect moniker for a business whose core passion and mission is to enlighten and so empower women's choices.
In July 2019, we welcomed our first child. I loved being mum, but while I was armed to the teeth with information about how to manage a cherubic and smelly young human, I was completely at a loss when it came to helping my own recovery post partum.
What stuck out to me especially were the maternity pads. My experience with them was extremely inconvenient to say the least. I delivered a sizeable baby who had an erratic sleep routine. To be able to sleep while she slept was the goal and yet every two hours or less, I had a pad to change. I looked online for something that promised to be less grief and chanced upon period pants. I was keen on the idea, but couldn't find a product that was organic ... so I created organic period pants.
When I went in to designing my period pants I knew they had to be:
- High quality
- Organic
- Sustainable
- Endometriosis friendly
- Leak-free
- Super comfy
- No smell
- Plastic free packaging
- More cost efficient than using organic pads
And I believe they are all that and more.
